Edith Cecchini is the Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Partnerships, and Events for WEConnect International. She has more than 14 years of professional experience working in businesses and non-profits, and in a variety of sectors, including banking, sales, tourism, international development, training program design, procurement, and conference management. Prior to joining WEConnect International, she held positions at World Learning, where she managed multiple U.S. Department of State and USAID-funded programs, led efforts to improve processes that resulted in $1 million in annual savings of tax-payer funds, worked to increase procurement and utilization of small businesses, including women-owned businesses, and served as a key member of the Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality Working Group.
Edith has travelled to more than 45 countries and understands the impact that positive global engagement can have on the economic and social well-being of businesses and individuals. She continues to volunteer as a representative of Girl Rising, a global movement to improve girls’ access to education.
