WEConnect International is a corporate-led non-profit founded in 2009 that convenes more than 80 multinational corporations, primarily Fortune 500 companies that have committed to sourcing from women-owned businesses globally. These multinational corporate members represent over $1 trillion in annual purchasing power. Further, WEConnect International is the only global NGO applying the global industry standard for certification for women’s business enterprises and hosts the world’s largest searchable online database of women-owned businesses and qualified buyers in over 100 countries.
WEConnect International was founded based on the data and proven ideology that increasing women’s economic opportunity and income through entrepreneurship leads to job creation and economic prosperity, as women reinvest most of their income back into their families and communities. Through its binary work of connecting women-owned businesses to supply chains in the private sector and vice versa, WEConnect has become a leading global organization in implementing interventions that link women’s economic empowerment and business development.

WEConnect International in India has been working in the country since 2012 with strategic partners, government agencies, corporate members and women-owned businesses to help the country’s women-owned businesses succeed in local and global value chains. We are registered as WEConnect India INT Association, a Section 25 Not-for-Profit Company and are also registered under Section 12A and 80 G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, in India.
